Permanent Futures is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team in West Bromwich. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant and equipment to high Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to take on the role of Maintenance Engineering Apprentice. The successful candidate will have a time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline and hold an Electrical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete planned electrical/mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs, installation, and modification to plant.
  2. Maintain and repair plant and equipment to high Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards.
  3. Ensure all Engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation, and current Company Standards.
  4. Fault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
  5. Undertake training and up-skilling programmes as directed by business needs to keep abreast of technological advancements and maintain skill level.
  6. Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and help plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C and G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
  3. Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
