Pleural and Interventional Bronchoscopy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Pleural and Interventional Bronchoscopy Senior Training Fellow at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to work with our team of Respiratory Consultants and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in the fields of pleural and interventional bronchoscopy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of pleural and interventional bronchoscopy services
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with pleural and lung diseases
- Participate in the training and education of junior colleagues and medical students
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for pleural and interventional bronchoscopy
The Respiratory Department at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is a regional centre for interstitial lung disease and non-invasive ventilation. We offer a range of services, including pleural procedures, general respiratory services, and sleep and ventilation services.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
- MRCP
- ALS
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
Desirable qualifications and skills include:
- Awards and distinctions
- Academic and extracurricular achievements
Essential clinical experience includes:
- 6 months experience within the NHS at Registrar level
- Competent in diagnostic bronchoscopy
Desirable clinical experience includes:
- Experience and interest in lung cancer
