Infection Prevention and Control Business Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Support Manager to join our dynamic and dedicated Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team at Velindre University NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy IPC department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the IPC team, including diary management, minute taking, and coordinating meetings and reports.
- Oversee financial administration, including budget monitoring, procurement, and invoice processing, requiring knowledge and experience of using Oracle.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis to support decision-making.
- Manage HR-related tasks, such as recruitment, onboarding, and staff development, requiring knowledge and experience of using ESR and Trac systems.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement efficient administrative processes to improve workflow and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Person Specification
Essential
- Knowledge of information systems, including the ability to operate and manipulate data from a database.
- Advanced data analysis skills to interrogate, interpret, and present complex data to meet customer needs.
- Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
- Experience of operating Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to produce a high standard of written work.
Desirable
- Welsh speaker Level 1 or willingness to work towards.
- Knowledge of Velindre University NHS Trust.
