Capita, a leading provider of corporate support services, seeks an experienced Fire Health and Safety Coordinator to join its busy team.

About the Role

This hybrid role is based at Parson's green, with regular travel across sites required. A driving licence is desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking fire safety risk assessments, developing and tracking health and safety premises checklists, and providing expert advice on health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake fire safety risk assessments for all sites, developing and tracking health and safety premises checklists.
  • Provide expert advice and support on the application and interpretation of health and safety legislation.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring actions arising from fire risk assessments, including third-party fire risk assessments.
  • Plan and undertake fire risk assessments at agreed sites.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the training program for fire safety.
  • Deliver induction training and fire evacuation training on inpatient wards.
What We're Looking For

We require a degree in a fire-related discipline or equivalent specialist training, substantial experience in a fire safety role, and registration as a fire risk assessor with a recognised accredited body. NEBOSH National General Certificate is also essential. Experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly in-patient units, is highly desirable.

Benefits

As a Fire Health and Safety Coordinator, you can expect a competitive basic salary of £47,000 - £55,000, 23 days' holiday (rising to 27) with the opportunity to buy extra leave, and a company-matched pension, life assurance, and cycle-to-work scheme.
