We are seeking a skilled Defence Physicist to join our team at Newton Colmore Consulting Ltd in Cambridge. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies used in defence, aerospace, telecommunications, and other sectors.



Role Overview

The Defence Physicist will work alongside a team of experts to develop and invent new systems, collaborating on projects that combine physics, engineering, and design. This role offers opportunities for skill development and engagement in complex and innovative projects.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop cutting-edge technologies used in defence, aerospace, telecommunications, and other sectors
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to develop and invent new systems
  • Work on projects that combine physics, engineering, and design
  • Contribute to the development of complex systems, including those involving microfluidics, sensors, optics, acoustics, electromagnetics, and thermal physics
  • Develop analytical, numerical, and finite element simulations, as well as hands-on engineering physics for building systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and innovations in the field


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Strong knowledge of physics and engineering principles
  • Proficiency in analytical, numerical, and finite element simulations
  • Hands-on experience with engineering physics and system building
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance


Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and development. The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
