We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team at our Droitwich Dairy site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about building a successful career in engineering.

Job Description:

This 4-year apprenticeship programme will see you develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical maintenance, working on various types of equipment and machinery. You will study towards a recognised qualification, earn a good salary, and gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management: maintaining manufacturing machinery, managing processes, filling/packing, and site cleaning operations.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects, project management, or tests and trial activities.
  • Fault finding and quick action to meet food safety standards.
  • Being part of a team striving to achieve the highest quality products.
  • Highlighting concerns and ensuring products or volumes meet agreed requirements and targets.

This apprenticeship combines technical training, academic study, and work-based learning, covering all fundamental Engineering topics, such as electrical principles and maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and automation.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for those who are passionate about engineering and have a strong desire to learn and develop their skills. You will need to demonstrate a clear passion for engineering, great attention to detail, good time management skills, and ability to analyse problems and suggest improvements or solutions.

You will also need to be flexible with your hours of work upon completion of the apprenticeship, including weekends and night shifts.
