Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Lightcast Discovery, a leading company in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in advancing our research and development efforts, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive scientific innovation and develop new therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Analysis & Visualization: Conduct complex data analyses and generate actionable insights using statistical methods and visualization tools.
- Assay Development & Screening: Design, optimize, and analyze data from cell-based assays, including imaging and flow cytometry data, to identify hits and measure assay performance.
- Collaborative Research: Partner with research teams to develop new applications, ensuring robust and reproducible experimental designs and data interpretation.
- Technology Development: Lead the application of data science and statistical expertise to new drug discovery applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to solve complex scientific challenges and effectively communicate data-driven results.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and support to science team members to enhance overall team capabilities in data analysis and experimental design.
This role requires a data-driven mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex results clearly to a range of stakeholders.
Requirements:- Advanced degree in biology, data science, or other relevant fields.
- Proven track record of developing and applying high content imaging, flow cytometry, automation, data analysis, and data visualization in an industry setting.
- Experience in developing software and scripts for robust and reproducible data analysis.
