Early Years Practitioner Opportunity

Reed Education is partnering with a reputable nursery to find a dedicated Early Years Practitioner with a Level 3 qualification in childcare and education. The ideal candidate will be a role model for children, ensuring their safety and well-being, and will adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory guidelines and the nursery's philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the EYFS curriculum, providing high-quality learning environments and experiences.
  • Plan and execute activities based on children's interests and developmental needs, recording progress.
  • Conduct observations and assessments of children, tracking their progress and supporting individual needs.
  • Maintain high-quality interactions with children, promoting positive behavior and inclusion.
  • Develop professional relationships with parents and collaborate with external agencies to support children's needs.
  • Fulfill the Key Person role, building strong relationships with a group of children and ensuring effective implementation of the key person system.
  • Administer medication in line with policies and procedures and conduct risk assessments.
  • Manage paperwork efficiently and contribute to team meetings and professional development.
  • Support new starters, such as apprentices, and contribute to team meetings and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in childcare and education.
  • Level 2 English and maths qualifications.
  • Current safeguarding training.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Willingness to undertake further relevant training.
  • DBS check (required).
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Experience planning for children's individual needs using the EYFS framework.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
