Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a three-form entry primary school in Blackpool. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils in Year 1 and Year 3, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in preparing resources and activities for whole-class, small-group, and one-to-one support.
  • Provide feedback to pupils on their progress and achievement, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and deliver lessons.
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with other Learning Support Assistants and support staff to ensure a smooth educational experience.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working with young people, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and engage with pupils in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Flexibility and creativity in supporting pupils with diverse needs.
  • Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or knowledge of learning difficulties.
  • TA qualification or equivalent.
