Cobham Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Credit Controller. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in credit control and financial management.

• Manage the credit control process across a portfolio of customers, ensuring timely and accurate collection of payments.
• Utilize Sage50 to post and allocate collections against customer accounts, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Chase outstanding invoices through proactive communication with customers, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
• Conduct regular sales ledger reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimize cash flow.
• Verify invoices by confirming receipt of goods and monitoring orders and quotes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Establish new debtor accounts in Sage 50, maintaining up-to-date records and information.

Assist with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to, mail handling, answering phones, and data entry.

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Apply analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
• Develop strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
• Utilize Office 365 tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Familiarity with data entry software and Sage 50 is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team in an open-plan office environment.
