Job Summary

We are looking for a Principal Biodiversity Manager to join our Nature team in various locations across the UK. The successful candidate will lead and manage biodiversity-related projects, including ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments.

About the Team

Our Nature team is a dynamic group of professionals specializing in species licensing, impact assessment, habitat creation, ecosystem restoration, enhancement, and management. We boast around 150 expert staff members, with national and global leaders in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services;
  • Oversee project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place to meet both programme and budget requirements;
  • Deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients;
  • Produce ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications;
Requirements
  • Experience of leading and managing ecological surveys/licensing/impact assessment;
  • Experience in work-winning, managing projects, project budgets, and stakeholder discussions;
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or major habitat types/species;
  • A full driving license and willingness to visit other locations on company business;

The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive team environment.
