Join Our Care Team

We are seeking a Specialist Care Team Lead for Children with Disabilities to join our care team at Independent Living Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to Elijah, a young boy with complex needs, and leading a team of dedicated carers.

About the Role

This role involves working in a family home setting, supporting Elijah with his daily needs and promoting his learning and independence. As a Specialist Care Team Lead, you will oversee the care team, monitor their competence, update care plans, and ensure high-quality care for Elijah.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Elijah with Cerebral Palsy and communication difficulties, requiring close monitoring of his epilepsy and suctioning at times.
  • Manage the care team, monitor their competence, update care plans, and ensure high-quality care for Elijah.
  • Work clinical shifts to maintain understanding of Elijah’s day-to-day care needs.
  • Provide general support to the care team and lead by example.
  • Promote Elijah’s learning, care, and independence in the home and community.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a family home and with children with complex care needs.
  • Calm and proactive with enthusiasm to promote Elijah’s learning and care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £25-£30 per hour, dependant on experience.
  • On-going training and support provided.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
  • Pension (subject to qualifying status).
