About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Compliance Assurance professional to lead and direct our Compliance Assurance Team, ensuring risk-based assurance reviews are undertaken in accordance with our annual Group Compliance Assurance Plan. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark in a brand new role, leading a team that plays a critical part in our second line of defence.


The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from either Wolverhampton or Chatham, with occasional travel to our other office locations required.

Key Responsibilities



  • Leading and directing a professional and effective Compliance Assurance Team to ensure timely and comprehensive Compliance Assurance reports are prepared for various Boards, committees, and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing follow-up work to ensure management progress Compliance Assurance actions through to closure.
  • Providing guidance to the business, including responsible for the successful outcome of specialist compliance projects.
  • Supporting the Group Head of Compliance and Conduct with coordinating FCA thematic reviews and requests for information.
  • Line managing and coaching all direct reports, including performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration, and recruitment.


What You Will Get

  • A base salary between £80,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • A discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 25%.

Requirements
