Job Title: Associate Director, Blended Finance, Strategy, and Analysis

Join the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as an Associate Director, Blended Finance, Strategy, and Analysis, and play a key role in shaping the Bank's donor agenda and strategic relations with its growing donor community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies, policies, and guidelines for the Bank's donor agenda, ensuring alignment with the Bank's five-year Strategic and Capital Framework (SCF) and key policies.
  • Lead the Blended Finance Hub, working alongside banking colleagues to design effective blended finance structures and engage with donors and stakeholders on blended finance debates.
  • Ensure the Bank has access to timely and high-quality data and analysis on its use of donor funds and broader donor engagement, generating topical analysis and guidance that reflects new global development trends.
  • Represent the Bank in international donor fora, such as the OECD and UN events on SDGs and Aid Effectiveness, and contribute to the Bank's donor agenda, ensuring it is an integral part of the Bank's business and strategic direction.
  • Develop and manage effective internal communication tools, organize key events, and lead a team of staff, including recruitment, goal setting, regular monitoring, and guidance.
Requirements:
  • Extensive work experience (15 years) and knowledge of working with donors and international development cooperation, in both a bilateral and multilateral context.
  • Extensive experience in international development finance and blended finance, with experience working for or with Development Financial Institutions/Multilateral Development Banks.
  • Deep understanding of the global development agenda and blended finance debate, donor policy priorities, global aid architecture, and best practice for use of donor funds.
