About the Opportunity

CV-Library is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician - Power Generation to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our power generation equipment.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

In this role, you will work closely with our Operations, Inspection, SHE, Performance, and Maintenance functions to develop and maintain clear 5 and 10-year asset plans, ensuring legal compliance at all times. Your primary focus will be on supporting daily engineering breakdown issues and providing leadership and ownership for all turbine outage events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Sembcorp's Gas and Steam Turbines (Wilton based)
  • Work across all assets to support and sustain operation through Planned Maintenance Optimisation and Asset Tactics
  • Ensure strategic objectives are met by initiating, leading, and delivering projects and solutions
  • Actively seek new technologies and methodologies to drive assets to achieve 'Best Available Technology'
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to Projects, Maintenance, and Operations functions

Requirements:

  1. Degree Qualified (BEng Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  2. Excellent knowledge of Gas/Steam Turbines (specifically GE Mark 5&6 and Siemens)
  3. Experience in engineering and equipment maintenance in plant areas or similar operations
  4. IT skills, including Outlook, Maximo, spreadsheets, word processing, and Microsoft Project
