About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multidisciplinary Engineer to join our team at ISS. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and electrical safe systems of work.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding expectations and delivering high-quality results.
  • Perform first-line reactive maintenance for electrical and switchgear issues, with a focus on air conditioning systems.
  • Participate in out-of-hours callout rota, providing a minimum of 1 in 4 responses to client requests.
  • Conduct occasional planned night working as per PPM schedule.
  • Monitor contractors and their workmanship, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and issuing permits to work as required.
  • Ensure equipment operates within specified performance criteria and maintains agreed company standards.
  • Provide a professional service, representing ISS in a way that ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to ISS.

Requirements

  • Air Conditioning: City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent.
  • NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems.
  • Qualified Electrician 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2008).
  • Recognised apprenticeship in air conditioning, along with relevant qualifications and excellent understanding of electrical fundamentals and LV distribution.
  • Understanding/experience of the following plant and equipment: static UPS, DC systems, emergency generators, chillers, chilled water distribution networks, LV switchgear, and data centre or critical environment maintenance.
  • Experience working under strict health and safety procedures, including electrical safe systems of work, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Low Voltage Authorised Person, IPAF/PASMA, and IOSH certifications.
