The Role

We have learners who need dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success - if you're an engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting KS3/KS4 Science and who would relish the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we'd love to work with you.

You'll provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. These opportunities to tutor are tailored with your availability in mind and can vary between 5-25+ hours per week depending on learner requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire and teach.
  • Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.
