About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Transition Manager. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth transition of students with special educational needs and those from alternative provisions into our college community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leading and managing The Manchester College's Transitions Team, ensuring effective collaboration with schools, local authorities, and parents/carers to meet the needs of incoming students with SEND;
  2. Reviewing Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to understand the specific needs of each student;
  3. Arranging and conducting college visits, orientation days, and taster sessions to help students familiarise themselves with the college environment;
  4. Collaborating with academic staff and the Supported Learning team to ensure appropriate classroom support and adjustments are in place;
