Physiotherapist in Neurology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to support the provision and development of our neurology services. With substantial experience in acute stroke care and stroke rehabilitation, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team. As a key member of our neurology department, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.

• Providing physiotherapy services to patients with neurological conditions, including those with stroke, spinal cord injury, and brain damage.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance patient mobility, strength, and function.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
• Participating in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Postgraduate experience in acute stroke care and stroke rehabilitation.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to support the 7-day provision of inpatient stroke care.
• Experience of supporting students on undergraduate placements, preferably within a hospital setting.
