The NHS Highland Undergraduate Long Term Conditions Block Lead is a critical position within NHS Scotland, collaborating with the University of Aberdeen teaching team.

This educator will provide educational and administrative support to various areas of medical education, including induction, faculty development opportunities, timetables, and teaching development.

To be successful in this role, the post holder must be recognized and approved by the General Medical Council (GMC) as part of the recognition and approval of trainers.

NHS Scotland and the University of Aberdeen are committed to supporting the necessary Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational and administrative support for the Undergraduate Long Term Conditions Block
  • Develop and support teaching in various areas of medical education
  • Collaborate with the GMC for recognition and approval as a trainer
  • Participate in faculty development opportunities and contribute to the creation of timetables

Salary Information:

The salary for this position will be determined based on the Consultant/SAS Doctor/Salaried GP pay scale, depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. The estimated salary range is £70,000 - £100,000 per annum.

Working Arrangements:

This is a fixed-term position, lasting three years, with a minimum of four hours per week, paid at a rate corresponding to the PA level.
