About the Role

The Specialist Stop Smoking Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based stop smoking services to help reduce health inequalities in local communities. This dynamic and flexible role requires a motivated and passionate individual with significant experience in working within a community or healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated deliverer who can work effectively in a strengths-focused, asset-based approach to community delivery. They will be responsible for delivering evidence-based stop smoking interventions, including one-to-one, drop-in, group sessions, telephone, or online support, in accordance with the NCSCT Standard Treatment Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective stop smoking services in a diverse range of community settings.
  • Ensure all client and service records are up to date, accurate, and satisfy the ABL Health documentation policies.
  • Provide training to staff to ensure they are equipped to deliver effective services.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in working within a community or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to travel independently across the borough.
  • Experience of working in community settings.
