About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support students across Key Stages 1 and 2. This role involves providing one-to-one and small group support, adapting learning activities to meet the needs of students with ASD.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and work closely with the SENCO to track progress and adjust strategies as required.
  2. Support students during classroom activities and help them engage with the curriculum.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting students' social and emotional development.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to support.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience and/or qualifications in special educational needs, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  2. Strong understanding of ASD and effective strategies for supporting students with autism.
  3. Familiarity with current SEN practices and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
