Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Choices College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in achieving their educational goals.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns
  • Assisting in the delivery of sessions in a classroom setting
  • Maintaining weekly individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements
  • Working closely with tutors to deliver SEN provision
  • Supporting the development of social/emotional skills of students
  • Monitoring progress of pupils with tutors

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Qualifications to include GCSE/Functional Skills in English Language, NVQ/QCF, ECDL or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Experience of working in a classroom supporting students with SEN
  • Working knowledge of MS office packages
