Dental Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Therapist/Hygienist to join our team at University of Suffolk Dental CIC. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, working closely with dentists, dental nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, dental needs, and preferences.
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations, including periodontal assessments and radiographic imaging, to diagnose and treat a range of dental conditions.
- Provide preventive oral care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to promote good oral health and prevent disease.
- Work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care, focusing on prevention, stabilization, and disease management.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, using computer systems and completing relevant NHS forms as required.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques, technologies, and best practices in dental therapy and hygiene.
- Diploma in Dental Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current full registration with the General Dental Council.
- Experience of working in a dental setting, preferably in a periodontal or hygiene role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
