Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team at Required IT. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from implementing security-focused updates to optimizing network performance. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our IT systems.

About the Role
* Collaborate with security engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards
* Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats
* Troubleshoot network issues and resolve bottlenecks proactively
* Work closely with helpdesk staff on network-related issues, providing support as needed

Responsibilities
* **Network Infrastructure Management**: Maintain and optimize network performance, including virtual networks, cloud infrastructure, and WAN technologies
* **Security and Disaster Recovery**: Manage and support backup and disaster recovery systems, implementing updates in line with business guidelines
* **Device Management**: Configure and manage firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches to ensure secure and efficient network performance
* **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work closely with security and infrastructure engineers, appreciating and fulfilling their unique requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a similar role
* Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, load balancing, VPNs, and network protocols

Desirable Experience and Skills
* Cloud services: familiarity with Microsoft Azure and AWS architectures
* Vendor-specific knowledge: experience with Cisco Switches, Fortinet firewalls, and Dell Servers (iDRAC preferred)
