Job Title: Participation Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Participation Manager to join our team at Fife Sports and Leisure Trust. As a key member of our Activities Management team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management and development of the dryside/sport programme, including gymnastics throughout Fife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to staff employed within the Participation team.
  • Responsible for maximising income from the dryside programme, including participation programme, hiring of facilities and long-term leases.
  • Monitor the dryside income and expenditure budget, providing updates on spend and agreed outcomes in line with Company policies and financial regulations.
  • Oversee and manage the use of private providers, providing sporting programmes within FSLT venues.
  • Develop the growth of the dryside programme, ensuring it is cost-effective and delivered to high standards.
  • Keep ahead of trends, providing a business case for the Activities Manager to consider and approve.
  • Support the implementation of effective performance management systems with clear operational standards and procedures, regular monitoring, analysing and reporting results.
  • Provide clear direction and support to employees to ensure they understand FSLT's Mission and Vision and are fully equipped to deliver a quality service.
  • Oversee the planning and development of the Participation Co-ordinators work plan and create a culture that encourages and recognises new business ideas and processes.
Requirements
  • Experience and track record of successful partnership working with public, private and voluntary sector.
  • Experience of responding to a wide range of customers/audiences effectively.
  • Experience of managing and successfully concluding a comprehensive workload.
  • Analytical and problem-solving approach.
  • People development and self-development skills.
  • Experience of coaching, developing, supervising, supporting, mentoring and directing others, including the ability to maintain the confidence of staff, customers, senior managers, Directors and other managers within the Company.
