Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our community health team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Podiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality foot health services to patients in community settings, including health centres, domiciliary, and residential homes.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties of the role include:

  • Assessing and planning individual patient care
  • Working independently and as part of a team to deliver patient care
  • Treating patients with a wide range of long-term conditions, particularly those with high-risk clinical needs
  • Managing foot complications associated with diabetes, rheumatoid, and vascular/ischaemic long-term conditions
  • Collaborating with district nursing colleagues, acute MDfT, and Surgical Appliances department
About the Role

This is a part-time fixed-term post for 6 months, offering the opportunity to work in a progressive and busy service delivering high-quality foot health services across South East London. You will have the chance to take part in specialist clinical rotations, including nail surgery, biomechanics clinic, and acute MDfT wound clinic.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Degree in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience in treating patients with long-term conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and drive a car for work purposes
