About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Support Worker to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to overcome barriers and achieve their goals in education, training, and employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants in the community, at pop-up Satellite Hubs, and at our Activity Hub, providing high-quality support and guidance to facilitate their engagement in activities that help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, including employers, local authorities, health services, and voluntary sector organizations, to provide exceptional participant support and progression routes.
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of support services to ensure comprehensive participant support.
  • Monitor and report on participant progress effectively, working to targets and key performance indicators.
  • Provide community-based support, utilizing excellent organizational skills and time management to manage a caseload independently.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in motivating and supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers and progress towards future goals in education, training, and employment.
  • Experience in working with external stakeholders to provide exceptional participant support or progression routes.
  • The ability to build, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of support services.
  • Proven experience of successfully working to targets and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management, with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
