Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Eating Disorders Specialist

Direct Medics is working with a specialist provider of inpatient and residential services to find a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join their team. The successful applicant will work with adults in an eating disorders and related comorbidity service, applying evidence-based approaches and engaging in evidence-generating practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for adults with eating disorders and related comorbidities.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
  • Current HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS.
  • Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities, including anxiety, trauma, depression, self-harm, and their impact on young adults and their families.
  • Desirable: prior experience in eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, trauma, and personality disorders.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
