About the Role

Astute People is partnering with a leading sugar production company to recruit an Engineering Support Technician for its site in Bury St Edmunds. We are looking for an experienced technician who can work well in a team and has a strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering.

The starting salary for this role is £54,315 per annum, with a full benefits package including 10% pension and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of the engineering team to carry out maintenance work on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Install and commission new plant or modifications as required.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • NVQ level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a maintenance team in a fast-paced process environment, such as a manufacturing site or power station.
