Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Reed. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
- Work with Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) technology.
- Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure vehicles are operating properly.
- Replace or repair worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with service managers about vehicle issues and necessary repairs.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- High school education.
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles (mandatory).
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (mandatory).
- Mot license (preferred).
