Experienced Environment Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified lawyer with upwards of 5 years PQE to join our esteemed Environment Team, based in any of our UK offices in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Aberdeen.

About You:

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic environment lawyer with exemplary skills and substantial experience in providing strategic and regulatory advice on environment, natural capital, climate, and sustainability matters.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Advising on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and Nutrient Neutrality for developers
  • Providing counsel on natural capital projects in the UK and/or overseas
  • Guiding clients on carbon offsetting projects nationally and internationally
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements related to BNG, Nutrient Neutrality, natural capital investment, carbon offsetting, and other ecosystem services outcomes
  • Offering insights on climate reporting, extended producer responsibility, and supply chain measures
  • Assisting in the establishment and operation of natural capital projects, including habitat banks for BNG and Nutrient Neutrality, carbon offsetting, and other ecosystem services
  • Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements and conservation covenants to secure natural capital projects
