Job Summary:

Squarepoint Capital is seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our Application Engineering team. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering and maintaining mission-critical platform infrastructure using the DevOps methodology.

About the Role:

As a Platform Engineer at Squarepoint Capital, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain development tooling services used across the firm. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions using DevOps methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain development tooling services.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Implement and maintain system administration tasks using Bash, Linux, and Containerization.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our infrastructure remains secure and efficient.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience with software development, including Python and Git.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, system administration, and infrastructure automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with on-premise deployments of version control systems, repository managers, and developer platforms.
  • Experience with advanced software engineering concepts and API development.
  • Experience with build and release systems, including publication, replication, distribution, and lifecycle management of packages and artifacts.
