Academic Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Plumbing and Gas at Preston College.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of industry best practices, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality education in plumbing and gas installation.

• Plan and deliver both practical and theoretical sessions to support learners to achieve their qualifications.
• Adapt and differentiate teaching to ensure everyone succeeds and positively progresses.
• Guide learners through theoretical concepts and practical applications, preparing them for success in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of plumbing and gas engineering.

The ideal candidate will be able to evidence their skills and technical knowledge of a relevant occupational area and will be qualified to at least Level 3. Experience of teaching or training in a further education setting would be advantageous.

A teaching qualification is desirable, but if you don't have one and are willing to work towards achieving one then we will support you to do so, both financially and academically.

We offer a competitive salary range from SCP 24 (£29,453) to SCP34 (£39,586) per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as generous annual leave entitlement, local government pension scheme, family-friendly college policies, and opportunities for career and pay progression.
