Job Title: SEN Tutor - Burnley Area

Job Type: Contract

Location: Within the community or pupils' home

Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs in the Burnley area. As a SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to access their education, and help them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Work closely with students, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need
  • Monitor and record student progress, and report back to Prospero Teaching
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box to engage students and support their learning

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent, or tutoring experience
  • UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs or disengaged pupils
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
  • Right to work in the UK
