Job Title: Technical Engineer

BlueGate Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a Technical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client by providing engineering expertise and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineer orders to meet specified requirements, from allocation to acceptance by the customer.
  • Produce and/or update SolidWorks 3D models and drawings using information obtained from customers, suppliers, and the Production Department.
  • Specify equipment necessary to meet the technical requirements of the order.
  • Create ERP engineering information, including Parts and Bill of Material details.
  • Administer commercial, sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Comply with all company SHEQ policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering qualification or above.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related mechanical engineering role.
  • Proficient in using CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) to create 3D models and drawings.
  • Comfortable working with an ERP system (preferably Epicor).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment is advantageous.
