About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the Risk & Assurance team at Unite Students, spanning all areas of governance. The team's vision is to actively support and partner with operational teams and wider colleagues, helping them to identify and manage risk and provide assurance over quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent assurance on Governance, Risk Management, and Controls
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in delivering the annual internal assurance programme of internal audits
- Assist the Head of Risk with identifying and monitoring business risks at Unite Students, working with colleagues across the business to help them manage risks in their areas
- Work with the Operational Compliance team to deliver audits and present results
- Assist on data protection projects, managing the risks associated with personal data
Requirements
- Working towards a degree with a technology, business, or legal element (e.g., maths, business, accountancy, law, economics)
- A keen interest in risk management, assurance, and controls
- Someone who is self-reliant, eager to learn, and enjoys solving problems
