Tesco Store Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Our Shift Leaders play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, leading by example and setting high standards for themselves and their colleagues.
You will have a strong focus on maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment, which includes managing inventory levels, ordering stock and receiving deliveries. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will also contribute to the development of strategies to improve sales and customer engagement. This may involve identifying areas for improvement, implementing new ideas and measuring the impact of changes made.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff rotas and customer service
- Oversee the management of stock levels, inventory control and receive deliveries
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer engagement
- Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve business objectives
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Our Shift Leaders start on £14.28 an hour, increasing to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location and skills. We offer a range of benefits, including:
- A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work more if desired

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
