Bioinformatics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced bioinformatician or computational biologist to lead our data-driven R&D efforts in Guildford.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in analysing clinical NGS and cell imaging data sets, with experience in developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies for diagnosing metastatic cancer.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future development of our clinical diagnostics, working closely with our team of experts to drive real solutions for cancer patients.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD or 3+ years of industry experience post-MSc, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new molecular (including NGS) and cell-based (imaging) techniques for diagnosing metastatic cancer
- Lead our data-driven R&D efforts, working closely with our team of experts
- Collaborate with our biotech partners to drive the development of clinical diagnostics
- Analyse clinical data sets to identify patterns and trends that can inform our research
Requirements:
- PhD or 3+ years of industry experience post-MSc in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field
- Strong background in analysing clinical NGS and cell imaging data sets
- Experience in developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies for diagnosing metastatic cancer
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
