We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team in London, working on a 5-month contract. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a data-driven approach to monitoring the Government Cyber Security Strategy (GCSS).

Company Overview:

The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. With a corporate headquarters located in partnership with HM Treasury, we take the lead in certain critical policy areas.

In this role, you will work closely with the GCSS Head of Monitoring and Evaluation and the Benefits Manager to develop data processing and analytical tools, including a PowerBI Dashboard, a GCSS reporting template using the Government Reporting Integration Platform (GRIP), and a knowledge management solution for the GCSS outcome profiles.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the UK's cyber security strategy. You will be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing data analytics platforms/solutions, using business intelligence and analytics software such as MS PowerBI or Tableau, and working with metrics or key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop the data architecture for the GCSS monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) system.
  2. Work with the GovAssure data team to turn the GCSS monitoring product into a PowerBI Dashboard that automatically updates when new GovAssure returns are submitted.
  3. Collaborate with the Benefits Manager and Cabinet Office central performance team to develop a GCSS reporting template in GRIP.
  4. Embed departmental indicator questions into the GovAssure supplementary questions process to collect data from departments to feed into the outcome indicators.
  5. Design and implement a six-monthly reporting process for GCSS outcome owners, including communication, technical support, and data formatting.
Requirements:
  • Experience of developing data analytics platforms/solutions.
  • Experience of using business intelligence and analytics software such as MS PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Experience of developing data collection tools such as reporting templates or online surveys.
  • Experience of working with metrics or key performance indicators.
  • Experience of or interest in cyber security and/or technology more widely.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £60-£80 per hour, depending on experience. This is a hybrid-working contract based in London, offering flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional growth.
