Job Summary:

Hunter AHP is seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Pharmacist to join our team on a locum basis. As a Band 7 Hospital Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing clinical screening of prescriptions and dispensing services to patients in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical screening of prescriptions and dispensing services to patients in a hospital setting
  • Work collaboratively with the mental health ward team to ensure seamless delivery of pharmacy services
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably in a mental health ward
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacy practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
