About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS and Data Specialist to join our team at Ardent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering GIS and data management services on small to medium projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and deliver GIS and data management services on small to medium projects.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of plans to project teams/clients.
  • Understand how to integrate non-spatial data (e.g. spreadsheets) with spatial data to run more detailed analysis.
  • Ability to build field map applications using tools such as Survey121 including setting up data and testing.
  • Understanding whether data is compliant according to the data shown on a plan and for its use.
  • Be logical, meticulous and thorough, with strong problem-solving skills and data analysis.
  • Stay abreast of developments within the GIS industry through participation in conferences, training sessions and self-learning.

Requirements:

  • Have experience in the use of ArcGIS Pro, FME and/or QGIS (or similar desktop GIS software).
  • Understanding of sharing of data and what is the most appropriate method of doing so on the project.
  • Responsible for delivery of data. Have an understanding of issues relating to the quality of data and how these can be resolved.
