About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SOC Analyst to join our team at the MOD's Global Operations and Security Control Centre (GOSCC). As a SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in the 24/7/365 detection and response to cyber incidents impacting the MOD's Digital Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor security alerts and incidents using a variety of security tools and technologies.
  2. Analyse and triage security incidents to determine the severity and impact.
  3. Respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery actions.
  4. Conduct initial investigations and document findings.
  5. Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement effective security measures.
  6. Maintain and update SOC processes and procedures.
  7. Participate in the development and tuning of security monitoring and detection strategies.
  8. Provide regular reports and updates on security posture and incident response activities.
Requirements
  1. Relevant experience in threat monitoring and intelligence gathering and assessment, as well as incident response management.
  2. Experience in the management of Security Event Monitoring and operational response by means of monitoring and correlation tooling, antivirus, network, and host IDS/IPS monitoring and logging.
  3. Experience as a Tier 1 and 2 SOC Analyst/Incident Responder.
  4. A sole UK National with DV Clearance is required for this position.
