Early Years SEN Support Professional

We are Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd, a specialist education recruitment agency dedicated to providing high-quality teaching professionals to schools across the UK. As a Behaviour Management and Learning Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream Reception class.
About the Role:In this full-time position, you will work alongside a qualified teacher and an Early Years Practitioner to create a positive learning environment for students with varying needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other SEN. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and supporting students one-on-one and in small groups, engaging them in learning activities, and assisting in their progress.
As a successful candidate, you must possess a strong background in SEN, a proactive approach to behaviour management, and a genuine commitment to supporting young children in their early learning journey. You will be required to work closely with the classroom teacher and Early Years Practitioner to ensure the children's needs are met.
The ideal candidate will have a Psychology degree or related field and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, and understanding when working with children with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other SEN
- Work closely with the classroom teacher and Early Years Practitioner to ensure the children's needs are met
- Engage children in learning activities and assist in their progress
- All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy
- You must have legal right to work in the UK
