We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our team and drive the development of world-class products. As Head of Mechanical Engineering and Product Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers to develop and implement departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve product development and manufacturing processes.
- Manage and maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Develop and implement KPIs to measure team performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a mechanical engineering department.
- Extensive experience in the development of consumer-based products.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering software.
- Proficient in CAD design tools 2D / 3D (CREO, SolidWorks), mechanical simulation tools (ANSYS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Salary up to £110,000 depending on experience.
