Risk Management Specialist

HomeServe Plc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to join the Compliance and Risk Team in Walsall. This role requires a strong understanding of operational risk and regulatory expectations, as well as experience in risk management and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework, including policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
- Provide training, coaching, and advice on risk and incident management to business units and their executives.
- Act as a business partner to allocated business units, supporting their risk and incident management, and providing constructive challenge as required.
- Establish and maintain open communication with key stakeholders, risk owners, senior managers, and the Executive team.
- Assess risk data to identify themes, trends, and adequacy of actions.
- Draft high-quality risk management reports for governance reporting purposes.
- Maintain and enhance an effective external perspective and knowledge of risks and risk management best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Deputise for the Head of SMCR & Risk or Director of Risk as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a comprehensive understanding of operational risk and applicable regulatory expectations, as well as experience in a second-line operational risk management and/or related discipline. You will also need to have strong business partnering skills, the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and a good understanding of a wide variety of business functions.
You will be a strong communicator, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills, and a strong team player. You will also be self-motivated, with pride in the work undertaken, and committed to problem-solving. Organised and accurate, with an eye for detail, you will be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
