Our client, a leading engineering service provider to the nuclear and defence industries, is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing project structures, as well as maintaining integrated schedules.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring alignment between the integrated scheduling toolset and the company's financial and material demand toolset. They will also be required to provide schedule risk analysis updates on a monthly basis and to inform the baseline.

The role will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining project structures (WBS/OBS/RBS/CBS)
  • Developing and baselining project integrated schedules (Level 1-3)
  • Ensuring alignment between the integrated scheduling toolset and the company's financial and material demand toolset
  • Providing schedule risk analysis updates on a monthly basis and to inform the baseline
  • Correctly recording project progress in the schedule, rescheduling to take effect of the progress data, and communicating the results to the project team
  • Understanding and reporting on project using Earned Value Analysis techniques and interpreting/communicating the results and any corrective action to the project team
  • Establishing and leading on Interactive Planning workshops
  • Supporting commercial change process and impact assessments
  • Including key supplier and subcontract schedules
  • Leading on alignment of schedule to project change register
  • Attending and contributing to the business Scheduling Community of Practice
  • Quantitative risk analysis experience
  • Forensic Planning
  • Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
