Public Health Visionary

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Public Health to join our team at Peterborough City Council. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of public health in our city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of public health strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Peterborough.
- Collaborate with key partners, including the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board, the North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Care Partnership, and other health partners, to deliver excellent public health services.
- Provide public health leadership and expertise to inform decision-making and drive positive change across the council and its partners.
- Work closely with the Executive Director of Adults Services, the Chief Executive, and the Corporate Leadership team to ensure effective delivery of public health services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Police, Fire, the Combined Authority, and the voluntary sector, to drive collaboration and improve health outcomes.

- You will have a proven track record of leadership and partnership working in public health, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Peterborough.
- You will be able to influence stakeholders at all levels, from local communities to national policymakers, to drive positive change and improve health outcomes.
- You will be passionate about meeting the unique health challenges of Peterborough while capitalising on emerging opportunities.
