Job Description

Harris City Academy Crystal Palace is a thriving mixed Academy with a large sixth form. We are seeking a skilled Art and Design Technician to support our teaching staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to teaching staff in preparing classrooms for practical exercises.
  • Ensure equipment and materials meet teacher specifications, modifying or creating special equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers to advise students on safe tool use, proper equipment handling, and correct learning activity execution.
  • Aid students in preparing materials for 3D and 2D projects.
  • Support in practical lessons and after-hours activities as requested.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Qualifications equivalent to A Level.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Experience working with various Art and/or Design Technology equipment and resources.
  • Understanding or experience working as a technician in a school or educational setting.
