We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assessment Assurance Lead to join our team at the NHS Business Services Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that medical assessments are delivered to the required standard in a consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and support to the VDPS administrative team to ensure processes are designed and implemented effectively.
- Deliver training to internal teams and third-party medical assessors as required.
- Support the appeals and tribunals process, including preparation of materials and attendance as required.
- Ensure complex cases are appropriately identified and managed in a timely manner.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support effective case management and ensure assessments are thorough and consider all facts of each case.
- Medical graduate with a license to practice and extensive post-graduate experience.
- Demonstrable experience of injury assessment for the purpose of informing a decision to make financial award under legislation.
- Significant experience of assessment of claims under the Vaccine Damage Payments Scheme or similar.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulations and legislation relevant to Vaccine Damage Payments.
